National Taekwondo Club was established more than five decades ago by Master Hetherington, making it officially the UK’s longest-serving Taekwondo Club. In 2009, the club rebranded itself as ‘NTC’ - Nottingham Taekwondo Club as it was taken over by its current Chief Instructor, Master Mark. In 2017 the club rebranded again to National Taekwondo Club, to reflect the branches we have adopted across the UK.
We're a modern club with a state-of-the-art full-time training venue in Nottingham. The club teaches Sport Taekwondo, an Olympic recognised Martial Art, to people of all ages and offers tailored lessons to suit your individual requirements. We're also a member of British Taekwondo - the UK's governing body for WT Sport Taekwondo.
As recently as 2017 Cameron Booth, a member of our team joined GB Taekwondo as a full-time athlete, following a series of impressive performances across the globe and successfully graduating from the development programme. Also in 2017 elite athlete, Adrian Wagstaff secured GB Taekwondo's Male Junior Athlete Of The Year, along with scooping a silver medal at the European Taekwondo Championships. The latest stories in a legacy of sucess at NTC.
For the past two years we have hosted National Poomsae Freestyle and Para Championships and frequently run our own Sport Taekwondo competitons.
